I am orginally from England and now live in the Hollywood Hills in Los Angeles. I have been shooting for over twelve years. I am self taught and very independent minded. In order to be an artist you have to have a strong point of view and to express it regardless of the opinions of others.
My site represents the development of a unique and distinctive signature, which is rare to achieve in photography. I love color and it is a dominant feature of my work. Likewise strong women. I only shoot female models but I strive to elevate them rather than to go for the lowest common denominator. I use very little Photoshop other than to clean up or smooth skin tones. I have never created a fake digital background or effect.
I feel that I have a greater range than any glamour photographer and likewise a greater range than any artistic photographer. I am always seeking to be original and go for weeks without shooting rather than shoot something ordinary. I am totally concept driven. I believe it is not the eye that is the determining factor but the brain and your outlook on the world.
My work is featured in many magazines, however I am very selective in taking on a paying client as I can only shoot well based on passion and not money. I certainly strive for excellence at all times and feel that my work and reputation would be diminished if I shot purely based on being paid. I would also feel dishonest if I shot for the wrong reasons.
My newly designed site has a dynamic look and will offer a wide range of products, courses (soon), and opportunities for models and photographers to interact with me. I shall also be starting an online magazine & launching iphone apps.
